Music and Markets Presents: Art Cities of Northern Italy - An Enchanting Mix of Music, Food and Wine This Fall in Italy's Most Unforgettable Small Ci
Reston, VA (PRWEB) May 28, 2008 -- Imagine exploring the treasures of small art-filled Italian cities, viewing postcard-perfect countryside in autumn colors, savoring a menu of gastronomic experiences and delighting in the sounds of the annual musical celebration in honor of violin maker Antonio Stradivari. That's just some of what's offered as part of "Art Cities of Northern Italy" a unique one-time only tour offered by Music and Markets (www.musicetc.us), September 26 to October 3, 2008.
"The idea for this special tour came from our friends, the Fine Arts Quartet. The group will be this year's featured artists at the Stradivari Foundation Festival in Cremona and will actually play the priceless, historic instruments that are considered treasures of the city," says Anne Woodyard, co-owner of Music and Markets, who is a musician herself.
Not only will participants enjoy the sounds of Cremona, they'll indulge in its tastes with an opening dinner at a fresco-filled palazzo. Between concerts and visits to active violin workshops, there are day trips to Giuseppe Verdi's nearby country villa and the magical hilltop hamlet of Castell'Arquato. Similar experiences await, as the group explores Verona, filled with layers of history from Roman to Renaissance, and Mantua - the wellspring of fine Northern Italian cuisine. Stops in Lake Garda and Milan are also on the itinerary.
"With our focus on immersing our guests in a region's music, art, gastronomy and places of cultural interest, Music and Markets is unique in the travel industry. With no more than 10 participants, everyone gets the personal attention they deserve," notes Woodyard.
The cost for the 8-day tour is $3279, based on double occupancy, and includes seven nights accommodations at two outstanding hotels in Cremona and Verona, breakfast daily, a combination of seven lunches and dinners, entrance fees, guided tours and transportation to all events listed on the itinerary. For more information, see Music and Market's Web site at www.Musicetc.us or contact Anne Woodyard at (877)-260-6383.
